Lisa Oristian

Jewelry

Lisa’s professional training is in psychology and, after a 20-year career in higher education, she returned to her first love, art, by taking Jewelry and Metalsmithing at MWPAI with Chris Irick. Lisa has also studied design and technique on her own and has pursued private instruction. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Upstate New York. Lisa owns her own business, Kissing Dog Designs, designing and making unique bead, metal and plastic jewelry. A fan of vintage jewelry, many of her designs have a retro flavor. She lives in Madison County and is active in several arts-related organizations there. Lisa has been teaching techniques in bead and metal jewelry in the greater Utica area since 2002.
