Sandra DeVisser

Painting and Young Artists Program

Sandra has been an instructor at the School of Art since 1980. She developed the Young Artists program for high school students, which has been very successful. In addition to instructing painting at the School of Art, she is also an instructor at SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome, teaching painting and art history. In 1994 and 1995 Sandra conducted a beginning painting workshop at the Instituto Allende Art School in Mexico. She received her bachelor’s in social studies, cum laude, from SUNY Albany and her master’s from Colgate University. She also was awarded the certificate in fine art at MWPAI. Sandra has exhibited in both solo and group shows throughout Central New York, and she has lectured at MWPAI and given critiques to groups of local artists.
