Nancy Long

Dance Program Coordinator - Professor Dance

Nancy has taught ballet and modern dance at MWPAI since 1982. She attended California Institute of the Arts and holds a bachelor’s degree from Pace University. Nancy has performed throughout the U.S. and Europe with the New York City-based Joyce Trisler Dance Company, and has appeared as guest with the Washington Opera Ballet, Alvin Ailey and Jose Limon dance companies. Nancy co-founded the Utica DanceWorks and has choreographed numerous pieces ranging from modern and contemporary to children’s story ballets. She has also been commissioned by the Utica Symphony Orchestra to choreograph several pieces.
