The study of drawing as a means to record and interpret reality, and as an art form in its own right, is explored using a variety of technical approaches. Courses in the basic elements of drawing, figure drawing and the transition from drawing to painting are available.
Drawing
Beginners - must be 18 years or older
| Time: Tuesday - 9 a.m. to Noon | Period: September 7 through December 14 |
This course begins with the basic elements of drawing – line, gesture, mark, mass, shape, value and texture – with emphasis on observation from life.

Figure Drawing
All Levels - must be 18 years or older
| Time: Wednesday 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. | Period: September 8 through December 15 |
Gestural drawing, contour drawing and other methods of recording the figure are the foundation of this course. A nude model will be used.
