PHOTOGRAPHY AND DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography Courses: It is required that students have a 35mm camera for the black and white and color photography courses.
Digital Photography Courses: It is required that students have a digital camera.
A workshop is available to MWPAI enrolled students on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at no extra charge.
Black And White And Color Photography
All levels – must be 18 years or older

This course is designed for students wishing to learn the art of traditional black and white or color photography.
Students must choose to work in either black and white or color upon registration.

Beginning Digital Photography
Beginners - must be 18 years or older

This course is designed to help those wishing to advance their interest in the art of photography through the use of their digital camera, and the digital darkroom.

Introduction To Photoshop (New Course)
All Levels - must be 14 years and older
| Time: Tuesday 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. | Period: January 17 through February 21 (6 weeks) |
This beginning course will teach you how to modify and combine scanned photographs to create realistic composite images using Photoshop CS5. You will learn to use several tools for selecting parts of images, and will move, duplicate, and resize images. You will also learn to use layers, and to apply layer effects and filters to create special effects, including lighting and texture effects. Additionally, you will use painting tools and blending modes to create shading effects, and will perform adjustments to contrast and color balance.
