Mixed Materials Jewelry AA106-3

This class will explore ways to incorporate unusual or unexpected materials into metal jewelry. Examples are plastic, resin, epoxy, aluminum, wood, paper, fabric, leather, etc. Students are invited to bring in materials and found objects they would like to incorporate into their jewelry and class sessions will focus on design possibilities to make it work. This is a great opportunity for metals students to learn about cold connection, to explore ways to put color into their metal jewelry and to come up with ways to make their jewelry highly personal by incorporating personal artifacts into their work.

Beginning jewelry/metal arts experience required.
