This is a hands-on class that explores painting through practical applications and experiences that relate line, form, texture, and color, while also investigating how these visual relationships relate to the artist’s intentions and the meaning of the work. The projects will have some flexibility in order to accommodate both beginners and experienced painters. Students who want this class to have an independent study structure will be accommodated. The instructor will help each student with individual problem solving, along with brief lectures and critiques for the class as a group.
