This class is designed specifically for teenagers who want to grow creatively and explore the visual arts. Students spend four weeks with their classmates developing artistic abilities through creative instruction.

This is a serious portfolio development course that will focus on building and improving drawing skills, an important criteria for art college admission. Students will work from the still life and figure (no nude models), as well as self-portrait. Instruction will cover line quality and gesture drawing, negative space exercises, proportion and measuring, texture and value. Students will explore a variety of media, including: Conté, charcoal, ink, gesso and collage. All students will receive a final review of their work and additional information to help them build a strong portfolio.
