The Dance Program of the School of Art will present The Nutcracker in its entirety for the sixth year 7 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, December 13 and 2 p.m. Sunday, December 14 at Mohawk Valley Community College.

This perennial Holiday favorite story ballet focuses on the young girl Clara, who is presented with a nutcracker by her strange and beloved Uncle Drosselmeier at the family’s Christmas Eve Party. After the party, Clara falls asleep in front of the Christmas tree cradling the nutcracker. In her dreams that night the Mouse King, danced by Rodney Hamilton, appears and a battle ensues between his army of mice and The Nutcracker, danced by Jeff Hover, and his soldiers.
