Fine Venetian Glass Featured in the Gift Gallery

gift image august webThe Gift Gallery is featuring the fine Venetian Glass jewelry designs of Andrea Menghetti.
After graduating from college

Andrea taught English in a small Italian town, traveled throughout Italy and fell in love with the creativity and artistry of the people.

By the early 90's Andrea was importing and distributing a wide range of Venetian Glass jewelry and gifts. After years of carefully selecting jewelry styles for her customers, Andrea started modifying some of the earrings and necklaces. She was responding to customers' requests for casual elegance, something unique yet versatile enough to be worn day and evening. She mixed Venetian Glass beads with sterling silver, freshwater pearls and other unique ornamentation to give jewelry a modern, updated look. Andrea loves the vivid colors of Venetian Glass and now surrounds herself with thousands of beads in her Pacific Grove Studio in California where she designs and makes jewelry.

Andrea's jewelry is sold throughout the country in finer gift stores, galleries and museums. You will find her jewelry at some of the most prestigious museum gift shops in United States including the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the Baltimore Museum of Art. After years working in this field Andrea has found that jewelry transcends words, transcends borders, and speaks a common language of understanding to those who recognize and appreciate beauty.
Please note the Gift Gallery as well as the rest of the Museum of Art is now open Friday nights until 8 p.m. Start your weekend fun at MWPAI. There will be special Friday night discounts on select items each week in August.

Fused Glass Wonders Available

The Gift Gallery is pleased to now offer the fused glass creations of Imaginative Creations from Westmoreland artist Sandra Martin-Smith.

ImagCreat New WebSandra started Imaginative Creations in 2002 as an outlet for her handmade fused glass gifts and jewelry. Sandra and her husband A.J. design and create all of their pieces individually with emphasis on originality, color, texture, and shape. They love collaborating on their glass and sharing their work with appreciative patrons and fellow artists. They are in a constant state of flux, as their techniques, materials, and processes are constantly evolving. This evolution by-product is the main source of their creativity, and increased popularity of our original fused glass merchandise. Meet Sandra and A.J. Wednesday, July 2 during the Meet the Artists Series at the MWPAI Summer Arts Festival.

Get inspired with the opening on June 14 of our newest exhibition The Golden Age of European Painting. The Gift Gallery will feature Golden acrylic paints, a variety of canvas and brushes to paint your own masterpiece.
