Originally from Stamford, CT, Meg Gianetti pursued fine arts, photography and art history studies at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD and Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK, which was followed by accounting and office management work in private industry in New Jersey, Connecticut and New York. In 1996 she started her affiliation with Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute and as a docent enjoyed interpreting and presenting MWPAI’s permanent collection and visiting exhibitions to the public. In 2004 she was hired by the museum as the School Programs Coordinator in the Education Department. At present her position has expanded to include the Education Department’s Docent Trainer and the museum’s Events Coordinator responsibilities. Meg was selected as a session presenter for the National Docent Symposium in San Francisco in 2013 and is a member of the National Art Education Association and the New York State Alliance for Arts Education.
