Forming Copper Vessels

Learn the essential techniques to transform copper sheet metal into a dimensional, hollow form. Fabricate two introductory functional and decorative projects, a bowl and a vessel/cup. Processes covered include: annealing metal, sinking and raising by hammering against a steel stake, soldering, planishing, and polishing. All levels and total beginners are welcome!

+ CLASS NOTE: As this course involves use of hammers, anvils, torches/soldering equipment, students must wear closed toed shoes, no loose clothing and long hair tied back to each class.
