Join Ulysses Grant Dietz for a lavishly illustrated talk on jewelry in the Gilded Age (late 19th century to the turn of the 20th century).  Moving from European jewels to American-made pieces, this lecture will explore the style, the materials, and the meanings of the glitter and the gold. Mr. Dietz will continue the discussion in the galleries, highlighting pieces in Jewels of Time: Watches from the Proctor Collection.
