WORKSHOP | Sashiko Mending

Ages 16 + | With Niki English

Sashiko (刺し子, lit. 'little stabs') is a type of traditional Japanese embroidery or stitching used for the decorative and/or functional reinforcement of cloth and clothing. Participants may revitalize a vintage garment or update an old favorite that they bring to the workshop. Supplemental materials and supply kit included in tuition.

SATURDAY | 1 Session | 6 Contact hours

Adult Students Ages 18 +:

  • Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Show vaccination records to the instructor once, at the first class.
  • Masking optional.

Youth Students Ages 4 - 17:

  • COVID-19 Vaccination NOT required for class participation but highly encouraged for eligible age groups. 
  • Masking optional.
  • Teen students in Adult and 16 + courses must be fully vaccinated.
